Understanding the why is a key driver of engagement today. To motivate people to volunteer their talents, to collaborate with others while taking ownership for their own contribution, we need to give them purpose and meaning. Leaders need to take time to communicate the why behind targets and objectives, explain the context and framework in which we are working and the value we seek to create together.
Emotional intelligence, self-awareness and social skills have always been a key succes factor for leaders.
To enhance creativity, collaboration and empowerment, we need to have an even stronger grasp on our strengths and pitfalls, learn from feedback, understand and connect with others, and use diverse talents for the common purpose.

As Einstein said, we cannot solve our challenges with the same thinking we used when we created them.
Lots of businesses are confronted with the need to invent new business models and novel client experiences. Time to market and lifecycle time are shorter than ever before. We will need the collective genius to tackle these challenges, while at the same time continuously keeping things as simple as possible.
In which ways do you practice creative leadership?
Demands are huge today, the speed of change higher than ever. Keeping up is not easy.
Stress, low engagement levels and burn-out have become part of daily life. Leaders need to increase their knowledge of energy management and take measures to pimp the energy of their teams. And their own energy as well.
